Calusa Waterkeeper is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the Caloosahatchee River from Lake Okeechobee to the coastal waters of Southwest Florida. Through science, advocacy, education, and community engagement, we work to improve water quality, hold polluters accountable, and ensure clean, safe, and accessible waters for current and future generations.
Position: Calusa Waterkeeper
We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the voice, advocate, and public face of our organization. Based in Fort Myers, this full-time position offers a rare opportunity to protect one of Florida’s most important watersheds through science-informed advocacy, community leadership, and evidence-based action.
The Waterkeeper works throughout the watershed, investigating pollution concerns, engaging with residents and decision-makers, speaking to the media, supporting community science, and championing policies that protect clean, safe, and fishable waters.
