The normal blue and green waters of The Gulf have been stained a burnt orange thanks to a massive bloom of Red Tide. The imminent cause is unknown, but environmental and human factors are believed to be part of what some experts say is the worst outbreak they have seen in years. Dr. Michael Parsons of FGCU’s Water School offers his opinions on potential causes and what’s being done to help prevent future Red Tides.
