Whether you’re an avid bird watcher or simply enjoy wildlife, Lehigh Acres Municipal Services Improvement District’s (LA-MSID) Thirteenth Annual Wings Over Water (WOW) Festival at Harns Marsh provides something for everyone.
Harns Marsh is a natural gem in the eastern portion of Lee County located just off of Sunshine Blvd in Lehigh Acres. In the late 1980’s, LA-MSID transformed the 578-acre farmland into an active stormwater facility helping to filter water and reduce flooding to the Orange River. These water management tools have helped create a lush habitat for more than 140 species of animals and provides an exciting opportunity for individuals to explore our native wildlife.
The WOW Festival helps celebrate our natural resources and includes an array of programs on local wildlife, native plants, water quality, live animals, guided tours, and other fun activities for all ages.
On-site activities are offered on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Events include:
Education Stations – Exhibitors share their stories with visitors helping to create stewards for the natural environment.
Tram Tours – Guided tram tours will be happening throughout the day to view Harns Marsh & the West Marsh. Guides typically consist of staff from LA-MSID and wildlife experts to help find the creatures within the preserve.
Wild about Nature – Throughout the day, community leaders, environmental experts and national personalities will share their knowledge about the wild wonders of southwest Florida and the importance of protecting our natural resources.
