Ranger Academy Training is a science-based educational program for citizens interested in playing an active role volunteering to help Calusa Waterkeeper protect and restore our Southwest Florida waterways. Training is facilitated through a combination of classroom lectures, inter-active breakout activities and hands-on field experiences. Participants will learn how to identify and monitor water pollutants, increase public awareness about water quality and advocate for clean water across our jurisdiction.
Participants must attend all courses and complete each in-field training experience to become a certified Calusa Waterkeeper Ranger.
Enrollment in the Ranger Academy Training program is a $125 donation that helps to cover the cost of the educational materials. Upon successful program completion participants will receive a certificate of completion, an Annual Membership and a CWK Ranger Baseball hat.
