CWK Rangers Amanda Zirzow and Narrie Magturo to present on citizen science efforts, regional seagrass monitoring, and current watershed conditions across Southwest Florida
Calusa Waterkeeper invites the community to its Q3 State of Our Water meeting, offering an inside look at ongoing conservation efforts and the health of local waterways across Southwest Florida.
This quarter’s meeting will highlight Calusa Waterkeeper’s recent collaboration with Florida Sea Grant through the Eyes on Seagrass citizen science monitoring program. CWK Rangers Amanda Zirzow and Narrie Magturo will present on the organization’s role in conducting seagrass surveys across Lee County, contributing valuable data to support long-term coastal ecosystem health.
Attendees will also hear the State of Our Water Address from CWK Ranger Zone Leaders, providing updates on current environmental conditions throughout the watershed and insights into ongoing challenges and opportunities for protecting water quality in the region.
The event is designed to engage and inform the community, offering attendees the opportunity to learn more about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved while connecting with fellow Calusa Waterkeeper members and supporters.
The Q3 State of Our Water meeting will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Fort Myers-Lee County Garden Council, located at 2166 Virginia Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
